My oil painting 'Tomato' has been juried into the Recent Works 2011 show. The exhibition is at the College Of Lake County's Robert T. Wright Gallery from September 30 to November 6.
The opening reception is on Friday September 30 from 7 pm to 9 pm.
The college is located at 19351 W. Washington, Grayslake, IL 60030
For information, call 847-543-2240 or visit the gallery web page http://gallery.clcillinois.edu/

This great news should encourage me to get back to painting. I had a busy summer with guests and now the question is what to paint next?

Tomato - Completed Oil painting

Tomato ~ 5" x 7" ~ Oil on panel

Here is the completed painting. I made finer adjustments to the tomato and added the highlight. Don't you think it makes the tomato so much more smooth, shiny and beleivable? I would love to hear your comments.

Tomato - Work in progress
