Orchids - Final

Orchids ~ 24" x 36" ~ Water mixable Oil on stretched canvas
Here is the completed painting. It has taken me a long time to complete this piece, but I have enjoyed every bit of the process. The background is a rich gradation of blue, lighter at the top, gradually becoming rich dark at the bottom. Doesn't show too well in this picture.

Here is a close up of a section of the painting... Hope you like it.

  1. Really Lovely piece. Delicate detail. Very nice, Aruna!!

Hmmm, water mixable oils..how did you like working with those? When you have time, email me and let me know. Do they dry like oils so you don't have to have the piece under glass?

  2. Thank you so much. It means a lot when an accomplished artist like you liked it.

Water mixable oils look and feel very much like regular oil colors. You don't use harmful solvents like turpentine and they clean up with water. The finished paintings need not be under glass. I'll e-mail you more details.
